Axe of the Blood God is our weekly RPG podcast hosted by Kat Bailey. You can find the show notes for previous episodes here.
In this week's episode of Axe of the Blood God (download link here), I'm once again joined by Steve Tramer as we catch up on some of the RPG announcements from GDC, discuss XCOM 2, and ponder whether RPGs are compatible with VR.
This was a relatively impromptu podcast, with the result being that it ended up being a bit rambly and off-topic, but we hit most of the big stories from GDC including I Am Setsuna, Obsidian's new RPG Tyranny, and of course, Virtual Reality. Everything is kind of coming to head here at GDC, and there's plenty to ponder about both the future of games and the future of RPGs.
Next week: We go in-depth on Salt & Sanctuary and interview the team behind Tyranny!

Steve Tramer returns for a special GDC episode in which he and Kat discuss Square Enix's I Am Setuna, the newly-revealed Tyranny, XCOM 2, and the pros and cons of VR as it relates to RPGs. Pokken Tournament makes an appearance as well!
Music from Axe of the Blood God is courtesy of Lena Chappelle, who has also contributed the themes to Active Time Babble and Roleplayers' Realm. I also use music from the RPG Music Pack over at rpgmaker.net. Check it out!
