Vanquish PC Release Teased in Bayonetta Update?

Is Sega telling us something, or are people too hyped?

After weeks of teasing, Sega excited folks by releasing Platinum Games classic Bayonetta on PC. The port brought the game to Steam with 4K resolution support at 60fps. At the time of release Sega said the company was dedicated to bringing its back catalog to PC.

The original still looks good.

"We are dedicated to bringing high-quality, best practice PC conversions of our back catalog games to our fans, and Bayonetta was a great fit," said Sega Europe senior vice president of Commercial Publishing John Clark.

"This is the latest in a string of high quality PC ports of past SEGA titles that we will be building on in the coming months and years," Clark said back in 2015 with the release of Sonic: Lost World on PC.

Today, a small update noticed by Bayonetta's Steam Community seems to point towards another Platinum Games title coming to PC. User Nacery noticed a tiny 22kb update for Bayonetta. The update apparently included a single image in the game's Extras folder: an avatar of the lead from Platinum Games' Vanquish.

It could be nothing. Or Sega could be continuing to tease fan-favorites coming to PC. We'll see, won't we?

Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
