Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is having a pretty good weekend considering it just shipped more than 500,000 units on the PC since coming out on March 8.
The figures are from March 12 according to developer Fatshark who also issued a statement about how happy the team is that the game has been so well received. "We are proud and happy that gamers worldwide have taken Warhammer: Vermintide 2 to their hearts... 500,000 games sold was a milestone that we had, but not less than a week after release," said Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund.
Vermintide 2 is part of the Warhammer universe of tabletop and video games, specifically taking place during the End Times apocalypse scenario. It is a sequel to 2015's Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide.
While currently only available on PC, there are plans to bring Vermintide 2 to PS4 and Xbox One consoles as well, though no release date for either versions have been announced so far. But it seems like with the popularity of the game among consumers and streamers, Fatshark has an opportunity to capitalize on its newest successful title.
