Watch Sonic the Hedgehog's 25th Anniversary Party Live Tonight at 6 PM PT

Hey, Sonic the Hedgehog! You're 25 years old! How you holding up? Still feeling spry and agile? Are your knees still working properly? Don't worry; if they are, they'll probably start giving out over the next year or two.

But enough of this kind of talk. It's Sonic's birthday, and you – yes, you – are invited to the celebration at San Diego tonight. The anniversary party livestream starts at 6 PM ET tonight, and you can catch it at the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitch channel.

The party, which is sold out, is taking place at the San Diego House of Blues. It's set to be a celebration of Sonic's past achievements, though we've been seeing and hearing strong hints about the event pulling back the sheet on a new Sonic game.

There's also going to be performances by Crush 40, the band that did much of the music for the Sonic Adventure series. You might say that Live and Learn and Open Your Heart are no good, but you'd be wrong.
