Watch the Xbox Series X Gameplay Showcase Right Here
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is headlining this Series X-focused Inside Xbox show.
We've seen the hardware, heard about the console's insides, and have seen snippets of gameplay here and there, but today's the day when some games Xbox Series X will really get a chance to shine. The May 7, 2020 Inside Xbox show is devoted to games headed to the Series X, and you'll be able to watch the whole thing right here.
The big headliner of today's show is Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which was just revealed last week. This'll be the first time we see any gameplay footage of Vahalla, as Ubisoft only released a cinematic trailer last week. In addition to getting a better sense of how it ties together different gameplay elements from Assassin's Creed's past, it'd be nice to see both player character choices in action. One can dream.
Valhalla will be joined by trailers and first look-showings for other Xbox partner studio titles, but you'll need to wait a while longer if you're hoping to see some first-party titles. Microsoft has confirmed that it will host an Xbox Game Studios showcase in July, which is when we can expect to see more from titles like Halo Infinite, along with reveals of brand new games heading to Series X.
From now through to the end of the year, actually, Microsoft is planning a series of monthly game showcases it's calling Xbox 20/20. These will also include news on what's happening with its streaming service, Project xCloud, and updates what's coming to Xbox Game Pass. There'll likely be more to come from the ID@Xbox indie developer program as well.
For more on the Xbox Series X, which is still slated to launch in Holiday 2020, head over to our round-up of everything you need to know about the new console.
