Watch This New Mobile Castlevania TGS 2019 Trailer, Featuring Classic Castlevania Bosses

Looking good Wyvern, you purple weirdo.

We have a new trailer for Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, courtesy of the 2019 Tokyo Game Show. This mobile-exclusive Castlevania adventure brings together several of the series' heroes to dispatch an array of classic bosses and enemies, much like 2010's Castlevania: Harmony of Despair.

Like Harmony of Despair, Grimoire of Souls' gameplay primarily centers around cooperation and teamwork. Up to four players can partner up to clean out Dracula's castle of wolves, skeletons, and other troublesome pests. You can also cooperate in a boss rush mode that lets you take down infamous series baddies like the classic Giant Bat from the first game, and the purple Wyvern from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.

The Castlevania games are home to all kinds of heroes, and a healthy selection is signed up for Grimoire of Souls. Look for Alucard, Simon Belmont, Maria, Charlotte, Shanoa, Jonathan, and more—though let's be honest, when the game goes live everyone's screens will be filled with Alucard, Alucard, Alucard. Grimoire of Souls has a PvP mode, and things should get interesting if four moody dhampires can scratch each other.

Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is coming out worldwide later this year. The new TGS trailer is in Japanese, but you can find out everything you need to know about the game on its official English page.

If you don't want to play an action-intense Castlevania game on mobile, Konami's Castlevania Anniversary Collection is a great line-up of the best retro games in the series. You should also consider giving Koji Igarashi's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night a try, cough cough.
