What Will be Announced?

The question on everyone’s mind is whether or not the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster leak is true. If it is indeed legit, fans can expect Banjo-Kazooie, Geno, Shadow of the Hedgehog (as an Echo fighter), and Ken from Street Fighter to be revealed.

Given that this is being billed as the last Smash-focused Nintendo Direct before the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it’s likely that we will hear some info regarding the rumored Spirits single player mode. We haven’t heard a peep from Sakurai about it yet, so any info will likely be received very well by the increasingly ravenous fanbase.

We’re also betting there will be mention of DLC of sorts. The Smash Bros. series has previously leveraged DLC to add in additional characters, so it’s likely this will be the case with Ultimate. It’s all pretty exciting, and with mere hours to wait until we get some answers we’ve all gone into conspiracy overdrive here at the office. Let us know what you think will be revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct, in the comments below.

In what must be the most pie in the sky theory going around at the moment, some fans are speculating the announcement of the Nintendo 64 mini, to tie in with the reveal that it will include the original Smash. We’re not so sure, but if you’re looking for more info on the rumored mini N64, head over to our Nintendo 64 Mini Everything we Know Guide.
