We Still Don't Much About Outriders, People Can Fly's New Shooter

People Can Fly has a dark looking shooter, and that's all we know so far.

Square Enix and People Can Fly revealed its new game today, Outriders. This is the game Square Enix teased with its cryptic images of humans waking from cryo-sleep.

Titled Outriders, the game is a new shooter from the devs of Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgement. People Can Fly is primarily known for their shooters and they're sticking with their specialty for Outriders as well.

While the story for Outriders is mysterious at best, People Can Fly revealed Outriders is a co-op shooter where soldiers venture into a hostile alien world. Expect cool weapons, horrifying monsters, and some kind of superpower ability.

It seems that it was just a coincidence that Outriders shares a name with a group from Marvel Comics. This led to speculation that Square Enix was working on a second Marvel game with People Can Fly. However, that doesn't seem to be the case and Outriders appears to be a new IP.

Outriders is coming out in Summer 2020 with more info set to be revealed this winter. For more on tonight's press conference, check out our Square Enix E3 2019 guide.
