With Resident Evil 7 coming next week, Capcom is ready to detail all of the additional downloadable content coming after launch. First up is the free DLC, entitled Not A Hero. According to Famitsu and a translation by NeoGAF user Dusk Golem, this story expansion won't involve Resident Evil 7 protagonist Ethan Winters. It will fill in some blanks in the story of RE7 and provide a slightly-different style of play from the main game. Not A Hero will come to all users in Spring 2017.
Then there's the Season Pass, which is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for $29.99. The Season Pass will have three releases, with the first two comprised of two new gameplay scenarios and one new game mode. Each new scenario is 45 minutes to 2 hours in length and self-contained from the main title.
The listing of DLC from the Steam entry, which has since been changed to omit the full details:
- Banned Footage Vol. 1
- Ethan Must Die [New Game Mode]
- Jack's 55th Birthday [New Game Mode]
All downloadable content in the Season Pass is scheduled to release before the end of 2017. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation on January 24, 2017.
