Google will host its first Connect for the Google Stadia this morning, and it's set to reveal quite a lot. Launch info, pricing, and games are all on deck for Google's game streaming service, which boasts delivering 4K and 60 frames per second to compatible devices.
The stream will take place on the Google Stadia YouTube channel, going live at 9 a.m. PDT / noon EDT. You can watch through the embed below or directly on the channel page.
Details from the Stadia presentation have leaked ahead of the actual stream, from a site presumably given a pre-brief of what's to be announced. The Stadia will reportedly launch in November with a subscription service for 4K, though a 1080p free service will come later in 2020.
While the premium subscription will reportedly contain some free games, users will have to buy more recent games whether they are a free or paid subscriber. There will also be a founder's edition on the way, which includes a gamepad, Chromecast Ultra, Destiny 2, and three months' subscription time. Alongside Destiny 2, games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Doom (2016), and all three of the Tomb Raider reboot games are expected to be announced for the Stadia.
While the Stadia will require a Chromecast at launch, Google is reportedly working to have it delivering gameplay to all Google devices via Chrome sometime in 2020. While Google is expected to confirm all the details of the leaked article today, it's possible we'll see a few surprise games or a tease for more announcements.
