Where to Find All BD-1 Skins in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
We show you where to get every possible paint job for your droid companion.
BD-1 serves as Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order's spiritual successor to R2-D2 or BB-8, a chirpy little droid who loyally follows our hero around on his galactic adventures. We're here to show you how to find all 17 cosmetic skins, so you can keep your buddy looking his coolest.
Where to Find Cosmetic Skins for BD-1
New paint jobs are found in chests across the game, much like lightsaber cosmetics and new outfits for Cal. Many of them also require late-game abilities, meaning that your first time on a world won't allow you to retrieve every skin.
Original

The original skin will be unlocked from the start. It’s a very rebel-esque red and off white number and is easily one of the best looking skins in the game.
Bee D-1

Alas, there are a couple of skins locked behind paywalls. The first is this all yellow affair called Bee-D-1. It makes your droid look like a bee, which is obviously amazing.
Crimson

The last of the premium skins now, we have Crimson. It decks BD-1 out in all red, making him look like a disciple of the dark side (albeit a very cute one).
Swoop

To get the Swoop skin for BD-1 make your way to the Crash Site on Zeffo. There’s a scomp panel on the largest island in the area. You’ll find a chest here.
Blue Leader

If you weren’t sold on BD-1’s default red skin, there’s a blue version too. This obviously harkens back to Blue Squadron, which is allegedly the unit that Luke was originally going to be placed into. To find it, head to the Derelict Hangar on Zeffo, it’s right next to your ship.
Bestine

The Bestine BD-1 Skin can be found in the Ice Caves on Zeffo. There are two chests near the Meditation Point here, near the end of the area.
Sumi

The Sumi skin is located in the Tomb of Miktrull. It can be a real nightmare to get to. Basically make your way through the area, until you reach the raised bridge. There are flame spheres ahead if you activate the console nearby. Facing the spheres, Force pull one and look out to the left, there is a set of vines in the distance. Throw spheres until you burn them, then head down to open the chest.
Cantonica

You’ll need to make your way to the end of the Crashed Venator area to get the Cantonica skin. You can check out our Venator walkthrough for more info.
Grungio

To get the Grungio skin, head to the Crash Site. Dive under the water here, near the circle platform with the large monster on it. There are two chests here, one of them has the skin.
Balmgrass

The Balmgrass skin can also be found on Zeffo. Go to the Tomb of Eilram and make your way through to the wind and ball puzzle. There is a platform behind the lowest socket. Once this lifts up, make sure you’re stood on it and you’ll get to a chest.
Day of the Dianoga

Off to Dathomir now, and to Witches Horn. It’s tricky to get to, but once you’re at the Meditation Point, climb the nearby rock wall. At the top of the cliff, there’s a door and some stairs. There’s a chest up there.
Yavin Prime

The Yavin Prime skin can be found in the Upper Strangled Cliffs area of Dathomir. It’s on a ledge past a group of spiders.
Myrmidon

Staying on Dathomir for a moment, you’ll find the Myrmidon skin at the Nightmare Ruins. Head to the area where you first fought the alpha nydak. There’s a slide platform here that leads to a wall run. This will lead you to the chest.
Tibanna

You’ll only be able to access Ilum near the end of the story. The chest is easy to find, as it’s in the area where you fight the AT-STs. You’ll find the powder blue Tibanna skin here.
Sundari Dawn

Take the Mantis to Kashyyyk to get the Sundari Dawn Skin. It can be found by the Cargo Pad when you land, easy!
Stygeon Prime

Now for Stygeon Prime. Make your way to the Imperial Refinery. There’s a room here where flametroopers can be seen fighting off flame beetles. There’s a locked door along the right wall, which will need a slice hack to open. Head inside and then look for an area obstructed by wires. You can cut these to get to the chest.
Z'Gag Wave

A hot pink and black BD-1 skin, yes please. Z’Gag Wave is found at the Great Divide area on Bogano. Head to the lower levels, with the elevator. There’s a bridge here that can be Force pushed, cross it and look to your right. There’s a chest here.
