With Less Than a Month Before Release Spider-Man Gets a New Launch Trailer

Focus on gameplay and baddies.

Sony's other major PS4-exclusive, Insomniac's Spider-Man, is less than a month away. While Spider-Man is already gold and ready to go, PlayStation released a new gameplay launch trailer today to drum up some hype.

The trailer has some brief snippets of new footage, but nothing we haven't seen after months of coverage. The main takeaway from the trailer is how it runs down the major villains Spidey will encounter (though rumors suggest not every villain has been revealed), as well as the tone of the game. Insomniac has repeatedly said that their version of Spider-Man is older, more experienced and it shows with Peter's interactions with Miles Morales.

We got a chance to see Spider-Man in action, and we came away mostly excited about all the different suits Spidey will get to wear in the game. There will be 25 suits in total (that we saw) and each one comes with different abilities and traits. It's a little surprising that we don't see that in the launch trailer, but maybe Insomniac is saving it as a surprise for new players.

Spider-Man is coming out on September 7, 2018 for PlayStation 4 consoles. Check out our Spider-Man guide for more news, trailers, and preview impressions.
