WoW Patch 8.1 is Tides of Vengeance, Releasing in December

The next major update for World of Warcraft has a release date.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth may have hit a rough patch following its launch, but Blizzard Entertainment has already promised several changes and improvements. Most of these changes are coming for Patch 8.1, entitled Tides of Vengeance, which Blizzard detailed in a stream back in September.

Today, World of Warcraft director Ion Hazzikostas announced that Tides of Vengeance has a final release date. The patch is coming to North America on December 11, 2018. Europe will see the patch on December 12, and Asia will update on December 13.

The rest of the "World of Warcraft: What's Next" panel at Blizzcon 2018 was focused on Patch 8.1.5 and Patch 8.2, which promise even further changes to World of Warcraft. We'll have a further article on what you can expect from those future patches very soon!

Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
