Xbox Game Pass Gets Quantum Break, Halo: Master Chief Collection in September

Also: Snek Pass. Er, I mean, Snake Pass.

September is a loaded month for Xbox Game Pass holders. The Xbox One X-enhanced Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Quantum Break, and a host of other games will be available on the game subscription service come the start of the new month.

We learned about Master Chief Collection's imminent arrival on Game Pass earlier this month, but Quantum Break is a nice surprise. Remedy's highly cinematic television show / game about manipulating time to save the universe isn't everyone's cup of dark matter—our own former reviews editor, Jaz Rignall, was lukewarm on the game—but it's certainly worth a try if you're subscribed to Game Pass.

Unstuck in time. So it goes.

Here's what else you can look forward to this month, Game Pass holders:

  • Onrush (Coming September 5)
  • Aven Colony
  • Shadow Warrior
  • Sky Force Reloaded
  • Manual Samuel
  • Snake Pass
  • Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams
  • InnerSpace

Game Pass is Xbox One's Netflix-style game subscription service. For a flat monthly fee of $9.99, subscribers can access all the games on the service—including many first-party day-one releases. Here's a full list of all the games available on Game Pass, as well as information on how to subscribe—or cancel.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. See our terms & conditions.
