Sony announced State of Play this morning, and now Microsoft has revealed its own Nintendo Direct-like show. Focused specifically on indie games coming to Xbox Game Pass, the stream is called ID@Xbox Game Pass. There does not seem to be an announced release cadence.
"In our debut, we’ll dive into games previously shown at E3 and X018. Expect hits such as Afterparty, Void Bastards, and Supermarket Shriek to be highlighted. In addition to new game announcements, we’ll also share a visit to Night School Studio, the creative team behind the hit game Oxenfree, for a behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming game Afterparty," wrote Xbox product marketing manager Vincent Wang in the announcement post.
Microsoft already has another show aimed at telling viewers all of the latest games coming to its platform. Inside Xbox airs whenever Microsoft has a major new game to show off, and ID@Xbox Game Pass looks to shift the view towards the solid ID@Xbox program. There's also This Week on Xbox, a weekly show with Major Nelson, letting fans know each week's releases on Xbox One.
ID@Xbox Game Pass will premiere on March 26, 2019 at 9am PT/12pm ET. Viewers can watch it on the official Xbox Youtube account.
