You Can Download PUBG Xbox One Right Now Regardless of Region

Streamers are playing PUBG Xbox right now.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is rolling out across the world today and tomorrow, but players are already streaming what the hit PC game looks and plays like online. Streamers on Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube are all pushing out videos for those of you still waiting to finally play Battlegrounds on consoles.

Battlegrounds is taking a spread out approach to its release as part of the Xbox Game Preview program. Different countries will be able to download Battlegrounds at different times throughout the day, with some release times slipping into tomorrow. Just as a reference, the United States will be able to download Battlegrounds at 9 pm PT tonight.

However, you can download the game from say, Australia, which has an earlier release date, through some location wizardry. Since Battlegrounds only has two servers (North America and Europe), both of them are available to play in right now regardless of which region you download Battleground from.

Which is why you'll be able to find videos like this online.

So whether you wait for Battlegrounds to come out in your region at its proper time, or you decide to sign up for a foreign Xbox account, just know that Battlegrounds is technically available to you right now if you choose.

Be sure to check out our Battlegrounds guide, and our early impressions of the Xbox version of the game for more info.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. See our terms & conditions.
