Oh buddy. Yesterday, Capcom re-released the Resident Evil 2 demo, only now with no time limit. Players are free to take their time exploring the early moments of Raccoon City Police Department. That extra time has led to a new discovery too—a very direct Resident Evil 3 remake tease.
As captured on Twitter by YouTuber The Sphere Hunter, as Leon's exploring, an area, you can distinctly hear the gravelly voice of Nemesis growling, "Staaaaaars." "Staaaaaars" meaning S.T.A.R.S., Raccoon City's Special Tactics and Rescue Service, an elite special forces division. It's the division that employs Jill Valentine, one of the heroes of the first Resident Evil and the main character of Resident Evil 3. In the Resident Evil 3 remake, you'll play again as Jill in her escape from Raccoon City—and her escape from Nemesis.

The new Nemesis growl in the Resident Evil 2 demo isn't the only Resident Evil 3 teaser that's hit the game. Soon, Resident Evil 2 will also get a new easter egg—a letter left behind by Jill that alludes to Resident Evil 3's events that unlocks a secret cutscene, seemingly. Players who find it can even unlock a new trophy, which was added with the easter egg.
Resident Evil 3 is the most divisive of the early Resident Evil games, but considering how good Resident Evil 2's remake is, we're not writing off the potential for Resident Evil 3's own remake to be great. Resident Evil 3 and its multiplayer mode Resident Evil: Resistance are hitting PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 3, 2020.
