Aksys Games and Spike Chunsoft have announced Zero Escape: The Nonary Games, a collection that's bringing Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (999) and Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward to a wider audience! The collection will be coming to Steam, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in Spring 2017. And yes, that's the North American release window.
Even better, 999 originally came out on the Nintendo DS, so that game has been remastered with high-resolution graphics and new voice acting.
"What's that? You've already managed to escape the clutches of death and played both games through to completion? Fear not! 999 has been rebuilt from the ground up and now features HD graphics, as well as English and Japanese voice acting. Prepare to experience 999 as it was intended, and lose yourself in unparalleled immersion," said Aksys Games sales and marketing manager Danny Miscevich on the official PlayStation blog.
With the release of Zero Escape: The Nonary Games next year, players will be able to play the entire series from start to finish on PlayStation Vita and Steam. The latter is important, because that means the series can not only reach a wider audience, but it'll also exist somewhat in perpetuity, unless the PC and Steam die off anytime soon.
