@WiIIyTheAntelope This is not just about games that are considered 'offensive', but just shovelware games and asset flips that literally flood storefront to the point where actual games that deserve the attention are lost.

I'm asking Valve to stop being a lazy piece of shit and do something! If moderation is the same as censorship, then I suggest you don't talk to me because we have nothing to talk about.

    This is bad.

    This is really bad.

This is Valve just saying that it bears no responsibility for the drek they allow on their platform. Not that they ever stopped in the first place.

And no, the 'free market' won't fix it.

@ChairmanYang They were not misleading in the least. However, pulling the Hitler card is disingenuous. He was awful, but he wasn't a murderer. And I cannot believe I had to explain that.

I listened to his podcasts for years before I could feel something had changed for the worse.

It was also when Gamergate began that he was actively defending the harassment of women and PoC, that I got into an argument with him. And when his followers started to harass me, well, that leaves impressions you can't simply erase by simply not associating with a hate group. I was lucky that I didn't get doxxed, because that was quite a thing to do at the time.

Yes, he did do some decent things for gaming in general, however, given his clear stances on women, race, and personal politics; I will not lose much sleep over his passing.Edited 4 weeks ago by Unknown

Any sympathy I had for him pretty much evaporated when he became a Gamergate spokesman. Even if he distanced himself from them, then stench still lingered. Furthermore, he also was responsible for harassing a trans Games Writer off of twitter, among others.

Not to mention that he was quite the bully, demanding apologies from smaller writers that dared criticize him.

Perhaps, most ironically, he was in an argument with someone and he hoped the other person would get cancer.

So, while unfortunate for his spouse and kid, I won't say much else other than that.

Here's betting that Nintendo, being the cowards they are, are gonna C&D this. Not just because it's the usual 'protection of the IP' excuse, which has some validity, but also, and let's not kid ourselves, Nintendo still has some seriously obnoxious conservative streaks in them. It leads them to say crap like, "If Zelda's the protagonist, what would Link do?"

So, despite calling it a reboot, they could have gone with some better designs for the characters and in the end changed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about them!

I'm hoping that we can get some alternate costumes where they weren't designed by creepy marketing guys.

It'd be nice if they rethought the steaming pile of turd that is the story, but that's neither here nor there.Edited last month by Unknown

@MoogMasher Unfortunately, the white male streamers seem to be the only ones doing that because they just can't keep their hands to themselves/using the 'N' word, despite their better judgement. Or at least they seem to be doing the majority of it. So, there was every reason to include 'white males'.

Being critical of their poor behavior is not being prejudiced. It's a response to their poor judgement. And if they just can't handle the criticism, maybe they shouldn't be in front of the audience in the first place.

And don't you #notallwhitemales me, because if it really bothers you that much, then maybe you're not as liberal/progressive/woke/whatever as you think you are.

@MoogMasher While point is taken, gamers have not done themselves much of a favor with how horribly they have been acting the past few years.

Like, ya know, white, male streamers/pro-gamers who just can't not spew racial slurs. Or engage in sexual harassment.

    Dad Nier.

Not many dads will inadvertently doom humanity's one last chance for survival to save his daughter.

But hey, at least he's a badass while doing it.
