@Roto13 I'm not a fan of Injustice 2 by any stretch of the imagination but I strongly disagree.
I could be wrong though. Can you show me a face from someone in Injutice 2 that looks worse than MVCI's Chun Li or Dante?

@mobichan What I don't understand is why they are seemingly going out of their way to remove the Japanese -- quirks, charm, style -- out of MvC. Makes me suspicious that this was done by an American (or at least Western) developer.

@Kuni-Nino Agree. I don't play Zangief but always love watching him in high-level play.
Speaking of Snake Eyez, I didn't see him play at all in the videos I watched. A shame if he wasn't able to attend. His Zangief was on a tear lately, being the only one who beat Punk on a GF before EVO.
As for Punk, the pressure definitely got to him after the reset. He's just 18, so it's perfectly understandable that he got rattled.
And who can blame him? He was fighting a demon at the peak of his ability. Damn, that was some beautiful carnage courtesy of Tokido.

Glad to hear SFV will be included as the first one didn't. I love Tekken and is probably my favorite fighter to PLAY, but Street Fighter has always been my favorite one to WATCH. Maybe it's because of all the legendary Japanese players in it like Daigo, Tokido, Kazunoko, and of course my main man Sako.

What a fantastic article. Thank you.

"On one hand it's getting the game ported to [MOBILE] but on the other hand we need to make sure that they’re good [MOBILE] games, making sure that technically they really, really deliver what the community wants and for what the tech-savvy community wants on [MOBILE]."

@SuperShinobi Man, I love Street Fighter II. Though my tastes in games have changed over the years, my love for fighting games has always been my one constant and it's because of SFII, whatever iteration it is.
I'll always rank it number one in whatever list of games include it.

Ding-ding-ding! What do we have for him, Johnny?

@franciscovillarrealh I agree. Posted anyway because:
A. It is still the first swear word I encountered in a video game technically.
B. Like I mentioned, I wasn't aware that it was a fan translation at the time, so it was as official in my mind as any other game I played then.
C. It was such a memorable line that apparently became somewhat infamous to those who played it.
Fun fact: Arche (the girl who "bleep" like a "vicious animal") was 17 during the events of the game. Yipes!

This may be a bit unqualified, but I remember the first time I played the SNES Tales of Phantasia via emulation. Definitely did a double take on this one:

I only found out later on that that was a fan translation and that the copy I downloaded had it automatically patched. I didn't even know that it it took until the mid-2000s for it to get an official English release.
