    Hi Jeremy,

Could you tell us how customizable the HUD is? Can we turn off the large quest popups in the middle of the screen? Is the game manageable without the mini map and quest markers?

My other concern is the quality of the sidequests. Are they just kill/gather quests, or are there better written ones?

The World Ends with You, by far. Incredibly stylish, unique, and confident in its own direction. I don't think I've ever played anything like it before. The battle system's incredibly fun, rewarding, and highly customizable. The characters become developed and motivations are explored, all while creating great chemistry with each other thanks to the game's small, tight cast. Dialogue is ridiculously over-the-top in its use of slang, and is just so enjoyable for it. Then there's the overall packaging that feels cohesive, from its UI to its threads/food systems to its graphics and music. Just a great, great game overall.

I was thinking about upgrading an XL to a nXL, but this article changed my mind. The only benefit I'd get from it is the right analogue nub, since I don't use 3D. I hear the CPU's better, but until there's a new FE or Pokemon exclusive to th n3DS, I think I'll wait it out.

    Thanks for your article!

@MHWilliams How would you say the worlds compare between the Yakuza games and Sleeping Dogs?

Won't be getting a PS4 till a new model comes out, but I'm really looking forward to Persona 5, Bloodborne, and Type-0.

Bayonetta 2's combat feels a lot smoother than the first's, like being able to attack without delays between hits, and dodging almost feels rhythmical. The camera has improved, I think, but it's still a huge issue fighting large monsters up close or Tag climaxing when your partner uses UC; in both these cases, you really can't see anything. I also wish Bayo's wicked weaves did more, because enemies feel like they take so much longer to kill.

How's the story compared to 999? I found DGRP1 to just be a watered down hybrid of 999 and Ace Attorney, so I didn't like it much.

Is there a Japanese equivalent to The Sims? I'd love to see their take on life sims.

Damn, I was really afraid of this. I feel like SE/Konami/Capcom are taking their games' plots a bit too seriously and could use more eccentric humour. I enjoyed MGS2 and 3 for their silliness, and while having serious moments are good to contrast the comedy, I think developers could really take a step back and ask themselves if what they're making is fun, appropriate, and engaging.
