    @limbeckd Multiple auction houses?

    That was sort of a feature of the original launch, but now the marketing system has been united into a single one - there are merely tax elements based on where something is being sold /from/ relative to where it's being bought. It all goes through the same 'auction house' but has variances based on access location.

    Or, could that be what you meant? So far it's struck me as pretty fair really (and I kinda miss the old market wards system from v1.x at that >.>). Edited 3 times. Last edited September 2013 by Unknown

    Gosh that was a lovely read. Responsible and well written and.. well.

    I was one of those that fell in love with the original launch of Final Fantasy XIV despite its problems, so for me the relaunch has been a pretty bittersweet experience.

    There are features and philosophies I miss desperately that weren't carried over from v1.x, but all the same I really have to admit just how /well/ Yoshida and his team achieved what they set out to do.

    The server issues they were struggling with to begin with are now largely gone, and I'm having fun and a lot of my old friends have come back. While there are plenty of elements that bother me, I can certainly say that they bother me not so much because they're bad as because of what I loved in the original version colouring my outlook.

    Even if I do get a bit melancholy at times and still have my complaints, I hope I'll be playing FF XIV v2.0 for a long time to come - especially given how strong the roleplay community is.

    You might well have gotten a new, regular reader with this article and all. I actually came here looking for other opinions since the site I usually frequent decided to deal with the game in hyperbole mode (their response to the servers being fixed was to throw together an article about Sony issuing refunds when they were only doing so for people given bad codes by a system glitch and call it 'FFXIV launch catastrophe worsens' >.>) and if the rest of the writing here's of this quality.. well. 'Especially liked your taking note of the nature of the community.Edited 4 times. Last edited September 2013 by Unknown
